Student Sponsorship

Above Sisonke Soso, Sbahle Ranuga and Lwandile Khetsheza sponsored students.

The HQ Coaching Centre and a number of other UK students have chosen to support athletes from deprived communities in Cape Town South Africa.  By supporting the young athletes sponsors will receive regular updates on how the pupil is performing at training, events and competitions. This is a partnership between schools and sports clubs in Cape Town.

Vuyolwethu Bili is a netball player from Guguletho and now resides at Western Cape Sports School. She is a young ambitious girl who is success hungry and always avails herself to vast opportunities. She enjoys reading, training and being with people. She is an outdoor person, an extrovert and is a passionate dancer. She enjoys giving dancing lessons at church.

From a tender age she was always one who had direction and knew exactly how her life would work out, however because of certain changes as on grows up certain things had to change. For most of her life she has been able to maintain a good academic profile, with being amongst the top achievers in her grade. She was also blessed with the opportunity to play with senior team as well as represent her province at s regional tournament.

Recently she was elected as a prefect which forms part of the disciplinary body of the school. The journey doesn't end there since she’ll be in matric next year, her goal is to work to get a bachelor pass along with two distinctions in life science and sports and exercise science. All of this is so that she can dream of getting admission into University of Cape Town.

I have a load of goals to achieve (in sport and academics), I'm actually in grade 10, and one of my goals is to pass well and to go study further. One day I would like to own my own business that is my goal on academics and on sport: it's actually to play for Proteas in 5 years time and I believe in myself that will happen if I work hard
