1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in First Aid for Sport

The FAS is awarded by 1st4sport Qualifications and has been developed in partnership with The Football Association’s (The FA) Medical and Exercise Science Department, and FA Learning.

The FAS is accredited at Level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework.

If you are an adult (over 16 years of age) with a sporting background or you are studying for a sports science or sports therapy qualification and want to learn more about first aid, then the FAS is designed for you.

Although the FAS has been developed in partnership with The FA, it is a generic first aid qualification offering content appropriate to all sports. The FAS is more than a standard first aid qualification, as it offers an introduction to injury prevention and management.

You should hold a current Emergency Aid Certificate (or equivalent). If you are working directly with children, you will be required by your employer to have been positively vetted by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). If you aim to work in the context of association football in England, you will be required to have evidence of having attended the FA workshop ‘Child Protection and Best Practice’
