HQ have been travelling multiple times a year to Cape Town South Africa, with its crystal blue waters resting under the shadow of the magnificent Table Mountain, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. However we travel to this wonderful city to target the struggling poverty and youth and provide them with sports coaching and provision.

Each trip we bring 10-15 voluntary sports coaches/teachers with us to provide for lessons and sessions for the young people living within townships. Through travelling to Cape Town for seven years now, HQ has built up a relationship and trusting bond within these local township communities. Giving us the opportunities to provide the trip of a lifetime for our volunteers.

Who benefits

As a HQ Voluntary Sports Coach or Teacher you will assist in one of the many poverty stricken schools in and around Cape Town. Within these schools class range from 40 – 70 pupils, leaving no shortage of pupils that want to be taught and coached by British staff and volunteers. Like many cities, Cape Town houses some poorest communities in South Africa. The project works in a number of townships where there is a melting pot of people who are facing issues such as high unemployment, health issues and crippling poverty.

By delivering our Engage For South Africa coaching sessions we will engage as many pupils as possible with each visit. Working with over 5000 children with every 10 day trip.
